I found this in my Shape magazine. It is a great lowfat soup that helps on a cold day or as a flu zapper. It looks like a long list but it is quick to make.

Trying several corn chowders, I decided to try to come up with one with a little more pazazz. Atfer many errors, I developed this hearty corn chowder. I use Jimmy Dean or Williams brands of hot sausage to spice this soup up a bit. My husband, who's not much of a soup eater, even asks for this soup on cold fall and winter days. I usually serve it with crusty french bread.
The Walleye is a member of the perch family and the perch is without a doubt the sweetest tasting freshwater fish there is. This recipe is from an old fishing magazine I found years ago and is one of the best fish chowders I've ever eaten. If you love walleye you have to try it.
A nice creamy soup. I make this in the summer when the tomatoes are really fresh from the Farmer's Market (canned is ok). The dried tomatoes add another depth to this soup.
Borsh is a traditional Russian soup prepared from beets and cabbage. It is usually served with a spoon of sour cream. There are over 40 varieties of hot and cold borsh that use different combinations of vegetables and meats. This is my grandmother's recipe, which is also, arguably, the best one :)
I am not sure of its orgins, but I am trying to find the source.
I simplified this recipe from 'The Kopan Cookbook,' a collection of recipes from a Tibetan monastery, which was reviewed and excerpted in the L.A. Times Food Section several years ago. Unfortunately I did not save the name of the author, who had personally collected the recipes during a stay at the monastery, and the distinctive 'Kopan Masala' spice mix she suggested. In retrospect, I wish I'd gone to the trouble of mixing the special spices -- even though I don't know how the soup could be much better!
South Texas style- the only time i can find caldo de pollo cooked this way is when i go to south Texas
From my collection of handwritten recipes 1970-1984. Note: Overnight soaking time is not included. Cook time is estimated.
Well, 5 ingredients if you don't count olive oil and black pepper -- which I don't. lA good warming soup -- and so easy to make! Recipe is from Rodale.
This stew is very delicious and healthy. please try it
My version is more of a thicker soup, but you can always add more juice. Found the recipe years ago and did some tweeking.
This is based on Mark Bittman's Elegant Wintertime Tomato Soup, with more tomatoes and less stock, making it thicker and creamier. It makes enough for a family of three to eat all week and stores very well in the refrigerator. This soup has pretty much changed my life, it is so good. I've served it on it's own with bread and butter or with grilled cheese. I've also put a fried egg into it as well and it was great that way too.
