This is a play on an entree I used to eat in Hawaii called Meat Juhn, a typical Korean BBQ dish. It's a typical Meatloaf recipe with a bit of a twist.

Ingredients

4 serv.
  • meat loaf
  • lean ground beef2 lbs
  • salt2 teaspoons
  • ground black pepper1⁄4 teaspoon
  • eggs, lightly beaten2
  • soft breadcrumbs1⁄2 cup
  • milk1⁄2 cup
  • Worcestershire sauce1 teaspoon
  • finely chopped onion1⁄4 cup
  • dried leaf thyme, crumbled1⁄4 teaspoon
  • dried rosemary leaves, crumbled1⁄4 teaspoon
  • Final Prep
  • all-purpose flour1⁄2 cup
  • eggs2
  • soy sauce3 tablespoons
  • teaspoon sesame seeds1
  • tablespoon sliced ginger1
  • tablespoons oil3

Step-by-step instructions

  1. 1

Mix first 10 ingredients together (Meat with spices). Bake in loaf pan at 350 degrees for 90 minutes.

  2. 2

Remove loaf from pan and allow to cool. After it's cool, slice into narrow portions.

  3. 3

    Place flour into bowl.

  4. 4

Mix in a seperate bowl the eggs, soy sauce, sesame seeds, and ginger.

  5. 5

Heat oil in pan to medium high - high heat.

  6. 6

Dip slices of meatloaf first into flour, then into egg mixture, and then onto pan with oil. Allow egg to cook, flip, and then set aside.

  7. 7

This is a great meal alone, or as a sandwich with Mayo. I hope you enjoy. :-).
