These baked gingerbread mini donuts are super easy to make and will fill your house with Christmas aroma.
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Mix all dry ingredients.
Add the wet ingredients and stir. Pour the batter into a one‑gallon plastic bag and cut off a corner. Pipe the batter into a greased mini‑muffin tin, filling each cavity about half full (I got about 22 mini‑donuts). Bake for about 7‑8 minutes. Remove from the oven and take each donut out of the mold.
For the glaze, melt 2 tablespoons of butter with 1/4 cup brown sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil and cook for about 2 minutes. Add maple syrup and 1 tablespoon milk and bring to a boil again. Add powdered sugar, using the last tablespoon of milk to thin the glaze if needed. Keep on low heat (otherwise it will crystallize) and dip each mini‑donut into the glaze. The glaze should set almost immediately.
