From the magazine-- "This super-simple recipe turns regular steak into a mouth-watering entree. I like it best with ground ancho chili powder and a little salsa on the side". Ingredients

4 serv.
  • chili powder3 tablespoons
  • brown sugar2 teaspoons
  • pepper2 teaspoons
  • garlic cloves2
  • salt1⁄2 teaspoon
  • dried oregano1⁄2 teaspoon
  • ground cumin1⁄4 teaspoon
  • boneless beef top sirloin steak1 lb
  • salsa

Step-by-step instructions

    Combine the first seven ingredients; rub over steak.

    Grill steak, covered, over medium heat for 5-7 minutes on each side or until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium rare, a meat thermometer should read 145 degrees; medium 160 degrees; well done 170 degrees) Let stand for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve with salsa.
