Apple-raspberry crumble

A light and fragrant dessert that will surely please both children and adults. Juicy apples, fresh berries and a crunchy crumble create a true autumn tale — serve it with ice cream or a warm custard sauce and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • ground cinnamon1 tsp

  • raspberries1 pkg

    or blackberries

  • cold butter75 g
  • wheat flour50 g
  • oat flakes50 g

Step-by-step instructions

    Preheat the oven to 200 °C (180 °C fan/gas mark 6). Peel the apples, cut them into quarters, remove the core and dice.

    Transfer the apples to a bowl, add the ground cinnamon and 1 tsp of sugar. Squeeze the juice of half an orange and add it to the mixture.

    Add the berries and gently mix. Transfer the fruit mixture to a baking dish and smooth it with a spoon.

    Break 3/4 of the butter into small pieces. Place them in a bowl with the flour and, using your fingers, rub the butter into the flour until the mixture becomes crumbly.

    Add the oat flakes and the remaining sugar, mix, then evenly sprinkle the crumble over the apples and berries in the dish.

    Dot the remaining butter over the surface of the crumble. Bake for 40 minutes until the apples are soft. Serve with ice cream or a warm custard sauce.
