  • Butter40 г г

  • Cream cheese50 г г
  • Powdered sugar75 г г
  • Vanilla extract½ ч. л. ч. л.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. 1

Sift both types of flour, the dry yeast, sugar and 1 tsp salt into the mixer bowl and stir.

  2. 2

In a small saucepan heat the milk with butter over low heat until the milk is warm and the butter just begins to melt. Remove from heat and whisk the mixture with the egg.

  3. 3

Pour the egg mixture into the flour and knead on low speed for 8‑10 minutes until the dough becomes smooth and elastic. Alternatively, turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 10‑12 minutes. Cover it and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until the volume doubles. The dough can also be left to rise in the refrigerator overnight.

  4. 4

Mix all the filling ingredients until homogeneous, then set aside. Line a baking tray with parchment paper, slightly larger than your air fryer.

  5. 5

Place the dough on a lightly floured surface, roll it into a square about 25 cm and spread the cinnamon filling evenly to the edges. Roll it tightly into a spiral, trim the excess edges if you want neatness. Cut into six equal pieces and place them on the prepared tray, top side up, forming a circle or rectangle depending on your air fryer shape. Cover and let rise for 20‑30 minutes, until the rolls have risen and doubled in volume.

  6. 6

Preheat the air fryer to 170 °C, carefully transfer the sheet with the rolls inside. Bake for 15‑20 minutes, then remove and cover with a clean kitchen towel so the rolls stay soft. Let them cool slightly.

  7. 7

While the rolls cool, prepare the glaze. Beat the softened butter, soft cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth. Spread the glaze on the warm rolls, let sit for 30 minutes, then serve. Store in an airtight container for up to three days.
