Light mini soda breads without yeast – the perfect snack for soup, stew or a lunch‑box, ready in just 15 minutes.
Combine wheat flour, wholegrain flour, baking soda and ¼ tsp salt in a bowl using a fork.
Add the beer sour cream (or yogurt) and honey, then mix with a butter knife until a soft, slightly sticky dough forms; add more flour if needed.
Dust your hands with flour, divide the dough into six equal parts (≈ 80 g each). Shape each piece into a round disc, flatten slightly and cut a deep cross on top. Brush the surface with milk and sprinkle with oat flakes.
Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C, line the basket with parchment paper and bake the buns in batches for 12–15 min until golden and crisp to the touch.
Transfer the baked rolls to a rack to cool. Serve the same day, or store in an airtight container for up to two days; before serving quickly reheat in the air fryer for 2–3 min.
