Afghan chutney

A juicy, piquant sauce that brightens any dish – barbecue, grill or even plain rice. Green chilies, fragrant coriander, garlic and bright citrus notes create an unforgettable flavor that instantly lifts the mood.

Ingredients

  • green chilies2

    sliced

  • coriander25 г g

    bunch, chopped

  • garlic cloves3

    finely grated

  • lemons2

    or lime, juiced

  • fine sugar½ tbsp
  • distilled white vinegar110 ml

Step-by-step instructions

    Finely chop in a bowl the green chilies, coriander leaves, garlic and the squeezed juice of lemons (or lime). Add to the mixture fine sugar, white vinegar and ¾ tsp salt. Blend everything in a food processor until a smooth, homogeneous paste resembling a mint sauce forms. Transfer the ready chutney to a clean bowl, cover and chill; it will keep in the refrigerator for up to three days.
