Imagine a soft white roll topped with melted butter, crispy bacon and a thick, piquant sauce you made yourself – a true symphony of flavors that will elevate your breakfast or dinner to a new level.
In a medium saucepan, combine all sauce ingredients, add 1 tsp salt, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer on low for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally so the sauce doesn’t stick and becomes thick and glossy.
While the sauce cooks, split the milk rolls in half, generously butter them while still warm, and toast on a dry skillet for 1–2 minutes until slightly browned.
On the bottom half of each roll place 2 bacon slices, add a few pieces of blanched tomatoes and a spoonful of the prepared brown sauce, top with the other half and serve immediately.
