Pasta with Crispy Bacon and Fresh Broccoli

Ingredients

4 serv.
  • farfalle pasta500 g

    (used farfalle)

  • broccoli head1

    about 300 g, cut into small florets

  • smoked bacon strips8

    cut into large pieces

  • pesto5 tbsp
  • grated parmesan

    (or vegetarian alternative), for serving

Step-by-step instructions

    Fill a large pot with water, bring to a boil and cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Add the broccoli 3 minutes before the pasta is done. When the pasta is ready, drain, reserving about 100 ml of water for the sauce.

    While the pasta cooks, sauté the bacon in a dry pan for 6‑7 minutes until crisp, then cut it into bite‑size pieces. Transfer the bacon and cooked pasta to one pot, add the pesto, thin the sauce with the reserved water if needed and mix well. Sprinkle with grated parmesan and serve immediately.
