Try a true English breakfast in your air fryer – juicy sausages, crispy bacon, aromatic mushrooms, soft beans and an egg "muffin" in the centre. Quick, low‑fat and full of flavor!
Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C. Cut the English muffin in half, cut a 2 cm wide ring from one half. Place the ring in the air fryer and cook for 5‑6 minutes, then remove, spread the softened butter over the whole half and press the other half onto it. Set aside.
Place the mushrooms in a bowl, drizzle with olive oil, season with salt and pepper, toss to coat evenly. Transfer them to the air fryer and cook for 4 minutes until they become soft. Add the sliced tomato halves, then together with the mushrooms and sausages cook for another 2 minutes. After that add the potato croquettes and cook for another 4 minutes.
In the meantime, crack the egg into a small cup or ramekin. Place the prepared muffin on a plate, pour the egg into the cut‑out on its top. Set aside.
The air fryer already contains many ingredients, so first lay the mushrooms over the tomatoes to free up space. Then arrange the bacon strips over the sausages and carefully place the egg muffin. Cook for 8‑10 minutes. If your air fryer is large enough, place the canned beans in a ramekin and put it inside to warm; alternatively, heat the beans in the microwave for 2 minutes.
Turn off the air fryer, serve the ready “fry‑up” immediately, garnished with fresh herbs to taste.
