Crispy skin and a tender, fluffy interior – that’s what awaits you when cooking potatoes in an air fryer. Fast, energy‑efficient and effortless – an ideal dinner even on weekdays.
Thoroughly wash the potatoes, then pat them dry with a paper towel.
Brush each potato with sunflower oil, rubbing it into the skin with your hands so the oil coats the surface evenly.
Season with salt and black pepper – the salt helps the crust become crispy.
Arrange the potatoes in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Set the temperature to 200 °C and cook for 40‑50 minutes, or until a sharp knife easily passes through the flesh.
After 20 minutes, check the condition – if one side is browning faster, flip the potatoes with tongs, and after another 20 minutes check doneness again.
If desired, shorten the time: first microwave the potatoes on high power for 8‑10 minutes, then finish cooking in the air fryer, checking after 15‑20 minutes.
When the skin becomes golden‑crispy and the flesh is tender and fluffy, remove the potatoes, cut them open and serve with your favorite toppings.
