I have not tried this recipe yet but it sounds good! I found it on a package of Martha White Hush Puppy Mix. This bake would go perfectly with fried shrimp or fish.

Ingredients

8 serv.

(8 ounce) package hush puppy mix with onion1
cups boiling water2 cups
tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine↗2 tablespoons
egg yolks↗3
cup buttermilk↗1 cup
teaspoon sugar↗1 teaspoon
teaspoon baking soda↗1⁄4 teaspoon
egg whites, stiffly beaten↗3

Step-by-step instructions

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a 2 quart glass baking dish.

In medium mixing bowl, combine hush puppy mix and water; stir until smooth. Add butter, egg yolks, buttermilk, sugar and baking soda; mix well. Fold in egg whites.

Pour into greased casserole.

Bake for 50 to 55 minutes or until golden brown and set. Serve warm.

Store loosely covered in refrigerator.
