Prepare your favourite morning coffee from scratch – it’s easy with the right equipment. We love a creamy cappuccino topped with a pinch of cocoa powder.

Ingredients

1 serv.
  • ground espresso18g g

    (or 1 espresso capsule)

  • milk150ml ml
  • cocoa powder

    (optional)

  • proper cup

    capacity 200‑250 ml

Step-by-step instructions

  1. 1

Brew about 35 ml of espresso using a coffee machine and pour it into the base of your cup.

  2. 2

Heat the milk using the steam wand so that a foam about 4‑6 cm high forms on its surface. Hold the pitcher so that the spout is about 3‑4 cm above the cup and pour the milk steadily. As the volume in the cup rises, bring the pitcher as close as possible to the surface of the drink, aiming to pour into the centre. When the pitcher almost touches the coffee surface, tilt it to accelerate the flow. As the milk accelerates it will strike the cup wall and naturally begin to swirl, creating a pattern on top. If desired, sprinkle a little cocoa powder over the surface.
