A light spring dish that can be made in 30 minutes. A piquant crème fraîche, fragrant asparagus and juicy pork meatballs – the perfect combination for a quick dinner that brightens your table with green and aroma.
Preheat the oven to 180 °C (160 °C with convection) or gas mark 4.
Place the pork meatballs on a foil‑lined baking tray, lightly season with salt and black pepper, and bake for 20 minutes until cooked through.
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, add the orzo and cook for 4 minutes.
Then add the asparagus, cut in half lengthwise, and simmer for another 4 minutes until it turns bright green and becomes tender.
Drain the pasta together with the asparagus, return them to the pot, add the baked meatballs and crème fraîche, toss quickly and season to taste.
Serve immediately, garnished with fresh basil or parsley leaves if desired.
