Crispy Sweet Potato Fries in Air Fryer

Get golden, aromatic sweet‑potato sticks cooked in an air fryer with minimal oil — highlight them with smoked paprika, a spicy Cajun or barbecue blend and enjoy true flavor without extra calories.

Ingredients

2 serv.
  • sweet potato2
  • olive oil1 tsp
  • sweet smoked paprika1 tsp

or other seasonings, e.g., Cajun seasoning, barbecue rub or granulated garlic

  • herb mixture½ tsp

Step-by-step instructions

  1. 1

Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into strips about ½ cm thick. Transfer to a large bowl, drizzle with olive oil and toss thoroughly so all strips are evenly coated. Add smoked sweet paprika, herb mixture, ½ tsp salt and pepper, and mix again by hand, distributing the spices over the surface.

  2. 2

Arrange the sweet potato strips in the air‑fryer basket in a single layer (in batches) and cook at 180 °C for 10–15 minutes, shaking the basket or stirring every 5 minutes to brown evenly. When they become lightly golden, return the remaining batches to the basket, shake again and cook for 1–2 minutes to finish.
