Light, fluffy pancakes with fragrant apples, ready in minutes in your air fryer — an ideal breakfast or dessert that can be topped with berries and maple syrup.
Grease an 18 cm diameter pan with neutral oil and preheat the air fryer to 200 °C. In a large bowl combine the flour with the leavening agent, fine sugar and a pinch of salt. Crack the egg into a glass, whisk it with the milk.
Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the milk‑egg mixture. Stir with a spatula only until the ingredients combine. Pour a quarter of the batter into the prepared pan, spreading it from the edges to the center. Lay a few very thin apple slices and carefully place the pan in the air‑fryer basket. Cook for 3‑4 minutes until the pancakes are golden and a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.
Keep the cooked pancakes warm under foil and a kitchen towel while you finish the rest. Serve them with berries and maple syrup or with a scoop of ice cream, to taste.
