Enjoy umami nuttiness in this salad dressing, a balance of hot, sour, sweet and salty. It's excellent served with summer slaws or on a salmon salad

Ingredients

4 serv.
  • maple syrup3½ tbsp tbsp
  • apple cider vinegar2 tbsp tbsp
  • soy sauce¾ tbsp tbsp
  • sunflower oil5 tbsp tbsp
  • sesame oil½ tbsp tbsp
  • lime1

    juiced

  • hot sauce1 tbsp tbsp

    (we used sriracha)

  • fish sauce1 tsp tsp
  • garlic clove1 small

    finely chopped

Step-by-step instructions

    In a jam jar or blender, combine the maple syrup, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, sunflower oil, sesame oil, lime juice, hot sauce, fish sauce and garlic. Shake or blend to emulsify, and season to taste. Will keep chilled for up to five days.
