I think I got this recipe from the newspaper. I've made this many times for potluck to functions and it always goes fast. Serve with tortilla chips (I use Tostitos scoops).

Ingredients

12 serv.
  • (1 1/4 ounce) package taco seasoning mix1 ounce
  • lb ground beef1 lb
  • (15 ounce) can refried beans1 ounce

  • (3 ounce) can sliced black olives, drained1 ounce
  • medium chopped tomato1
  • cup sour cream1 cup
  • cup salsa1 cup
  • cup chopped green onion1⁄4 cup

Step-by-step instructions

  1. 1

In a frying pan, cook ground beef until no longer pink.

  2. 2

    Drain grease.

  3. 3

Add taco mix and package amount of water and mix with beef.

  4. 4

Add can of refried beans and mix until incorporated.

  5. 5

In a 9x11 pan, (or I like to use my oval white baking dish) put the ground beef mixture.

  6. 6

Add the remaining ingredients in the order given.

  7. 7

Spread the avacado and the sour cream with a spreading knife.

  8. 8

    Serve with tortilla chips.
