A popular quebecois dessert which is basically dough balls in warm maple mixture (will add photo soon). Heavenly when enjoyed with vanilla ice cream. We do not put any sugar in the dough, unlike other similar recipes, since the maple syrup already makes it sweet enough.
Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl. Slowly add milk into the mixture.
Boil maple syrup and water in a pot.
Put the dough into the boiling syrup, one tablespoon at a time (give the dough balls/"grands-peres" time to coagulate before adding more dough into the syrup).
Cover and let it cook at reduced heat for 10-15 minutes.
Serve on a plate with ice cream, if desired.
