Simple fish tacos

Use a fajita seasoning mix for these fish tacos to get all the needed flavors without buying separate spice jars. Served with a spicy Baja sauce, they take only 20 minutes to prepare.

Ingredients

  • yogurt50g g
  • mayonnaise50g g
  • chili jalapeño1
  • garlic clove1
  • lime1

    juiced

  • coriandersmall pack small pack

    seasoning

  • lime½

    juiced

  • olive oil2 tsp tsp

  • cod fillet2

    (about 140 g each), cut into pieces

  • small corn tortillas8

    toasted, for serving

  • curtido8 spoonfuls each spoonfuls each

    and tomatillo sauce, for serving (see method in our recipes)

Step-by-step instructions

    To make the sauce, place all its ingredients in a food processor, blend until smooth and well seasoned. If needed, add a drop of water to achieve a pourable consistency, then transfer to a bowl or pitcher and chill until serving.

    To prepare the fish, whisk lime juice, oil and the fajita seasoning in a bowl, add the cod and mix well. Sauté the cod in a non‑stick pan over high heat for 5 minutes, until it begins to break apart but is not fully falling apart. Distribute the fish among the tortillas, drizzle each with sauce and top with a spoonful of our curtido and tomatillo sauce.
