  • canned artichoke hearts

    drained

  • light mayonnaise140г g
  • parmesan140г g

    (or vegetarian alternative), grated

  • garlic salt
  • spring onion

    finely sliced

  • additional crunchy bread

Step-by-step instructions

  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 180 °C (160 °C for convection) or set gas mark 4. Trim the top of the loaf, remove the soft centre to create a cavity. Cut the artichoke hearts into pieces, place them in a bowl, add the mayonnaise, grated parmesan, garlic salt and a generous amount of freshly ground black pepper; mix thoroughly.

  2. 2

Fill the prepared loaf with the artichoke mixture, cover the top, wrap the loaf in foil and bake for 20 minutes. Then remove the foil, stir the filling again, rewrap in foil and return to the oven for another 45–50 minutes, until it is heated through and hot.

  3. 3

Remove the finished loaf, sprinkle with the finely sliced spring onions and serve immediately, cutting into portions.
