Ingredients

4 serv.
  • corn, sunflower or vegetable oil1 ½ ст. л. tbsp
  • smoked bacon (diced)400g g

    (or boiled ham)

  • onion1

    cut into large pieces

  • boiled potatoes500g g

    (prefer waxy varieties), cooled and diced into small cubes

  • cumin seeds1 ч. л. tsp
  • hot sweet paprika1 ½ ч. л. tsp

    (if unavailable, use sweet paprika mixed with a pinch of chili powder)

  • parsleyжменя handful

    coarsely chopped

Step-by-step instructions

    Heat the oil in a large skillet, sauté the bacon and onion together for 10 minutes until the bacon turns golden. Transfer them to a plate, add the potato cubes and fry for another 10 minutes until they brown.

    Add the cumin seeds and paprika, stir well and sauté for another 1 minute, stirring constantly to release the aroma.

    Return the bacon and onion to the skillet, season to taste, add the coarsely chopped parsley and toss quickly. Serve immediately, hot.
