Make fragrant apple ring donuts – a perfect snack for a family picnic. Kids can help slice the apples, decorate with colorful sprinkles, and enjoy every bite. They’re easy to prepare!

Ingredients

15 serv.
  • soft cheese150 g
  • honey2 tsp
  • apples3

    (use a crisp variety)

  • almond or peanut butter3‑4 tbsp

    (optional)

  • colored sprinkles

    for decoration

Step-by-step instructions

  1. 1

Mix the soft cheese with honey and set aside in the refrigerator. Peel the apples, then slice them through the core into 5‑6 rings about 1 cm thick. Using an apple corer or a small round cookie cutter, cut a hole in the centre of each ring, removing the core to create a “donut” shape. Dust the resulting slices with kitchen paper—they should be as dry as possible so the filling stays in place.

  2. 2

If desired, brush the slices with nut butter, then evenly spread the sweetened soft cheese on them. Sprinkle with colored sprinkles and serve immediately.
