Sausage in Batter Cooked in Air Fryer

Using an air fryer you get crispy sausages in a delicate batter with no excess oil. A true comfort food—serve with aromatic gravy and fresh vegetables for a flavor‑packed meal.

Ingredients

  • sunflower or olive oil3 tsp
  • pork chipolatas6
  • all‑purpose flour70 g
  • egg1
  • milk100 ml
  • gravy sauce

    and green vegetables – for serving

Step-by-step instructions

    Pour 1 tsp of oil into each of two separate pie tins, place them in the air fryer and preheat to 200 °C. Brush the chipolatas with the remaining oil and carefully arrange them in the heated tins. Season with black pepper and cook for 3 minutes.

    Meanwhile, in a bowl whisk together the flour, egg, milk and a pinch of salt until a smooth batter forms. Pour the batter into the tins, spreading it evenly, and cook for another 8‑10 minutes, until the sausages in the batter rise and turn dark‑golden. Serve with gravy sauce and fresh green vegetables.
