Use an air fryer to create aromatic, crispy rolls filled with fresh vegetables in just 20 minutes. An ideal vegetarian dinner for the whole family—serve them with a spicy chili dipping sauce and enjoy!
(we used a mix of soy sprouts, cabbage, carrot and pepper), any large pieces finely chopped
for dipping
Combine 1 tbsp cornstarch with the dark soy sauce until smooth, then add the honey and sesame oil; set aside. Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a large skillet over high heat and quickly stir‑fry the mixed vegetables for 30 seconds, then pour in the prepared sauce mixture. Season with salt and pepper and cook for another minute until the vegetables are slightly softened but remain crunchy. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and cool for at least 10 minutes.
Mix the remaining cornstarch with 1 tbsp water in a small bowl. Working one wrapper at a time, place it on a clean board at an angle so it looks like a diamond (cover the remaining wrappers with a kitchen towel). Place a heaping teaspoon of the vegetable filling in the centre of the wrapper, shaping it into a sausage. Fold the lower corner over the filling and tuck it underneath. Then fold the left and right sides tightly around the filling. Brush a little of the cornstarch mixture onto the top corner, then roll the roll from the bottom edge to seal. Place the roll on a tray and brush it lightly with vegetable oil. Repeat until all rolls are formed.
Preheat the air fryer to 200 °C and cook the rolls for 12 minutes, turning them halfway through to brush with oil again. Cook in batches if needed – do not overcrowd the device. Serve with sweet chili dipping sauce.
