This tasty version of a martini is made with only three ingredients and takes just a few minutes. Bergamot oil in Earl Grey adds a pleasant citrus aroma.
Place the Earl Grey tea in a large jar. Pour in the gin and stir with a long spoon for about 45 seconds.
Strain the gin through a tea sieve into a funnel back into the bottle. You will see fine tea leaf particles remaining in the gin. Rinse the jar, then using a coffee filter or cheesecloth in the funnel, strain the gin a second time to remove all particles. This keeps the gin stable and the flavor unchanged – it will stay good for months until the last sip is drunk.
For serving, shake or stir over ice – I like how the flavor changes as it dilutes.
