Stewed Apples with Cinnamon

Combine apples, raisins and cinnamon to make this quick, light and soothing dessert. Serve with yogurt and a drizzle of maple syrup if desired.

  • apples5 sweet eating

    (about 600 g), e.g., Gala or Fuji, peeled, cored and sliced

  • cinnamon¼ tsp ground tsp
  • raisins50g g
  • yogurt150g fat-free Greek or non-dairy g

    for serving

  • maple syrup4 tsp tsp

    (optional)

Step-by-step instructions

    Place the apples in a pot with the cinnamon, raisins and 2 tbsp of water. Bring to a gentle boil, cover with a lid and cook for 10–15 minutes until the apples become very soft.

    Spoon the stewed apples into bowls and serve with a spoonful of yogurt and a drizzle of maple syrup if desired. Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to three days.
