Enjoy chocolate-covered strawberries as a dessert or part of a romantic picnic. Garnish with milk and white chocolate for an impressive effect.
Cut a strip of parchment paper and set it aside. To melt the dark chocolate, pour 2 cm of water into a small saucepan and bring to a gentle boil. Place the chocolate in a heat‑proof bowl and set it over the saucepan so the bowl does not touch the water. Stir the chocolate, melting it gradually. Alternatively, melt the chocolate in the microwave in 20‑second bursts, stirring after each burst until fully melted. Pour the melted chocolate into a small deep bowl.
Carefully hold the strawberry by its leafy top and dip it into the chocolate. Shake off excess chocolate and place the berries on parchment to set. If any chocolate remains, pour it onto another strip of parchment and let it set – it can be reused later.
If you wish to decorate the strawberries, melt the white and milk chocolate and lightly drizzle them over the berries.
