Cheese, Marmite and Spinach Pinwheels

Make these light rolls with cheddar, Marmite and spinach, perfect to serve with soup or at a family picnic. Optionally freeze before baking.

Step-by-step instructions

    Preheat the oven to 200°C/180°C fan/gas 6. Unfold the puff pastry sheet lengthwise in front of you. Spread Marmite over the surface. Tear the spinach over the Marmite and sprinkle the cheddar, ensuring it is evenly distributed.

    Roll the puff pastry tightly from the short side to form a long sausage shape, then cut into 12 pieces. Place them on two baking trays lined with parchment, spiral side up, and press lightly with your hand. At this stage leave them covered and frozen. Bake for 15‑20 minutes (or 25 minutes if baking from frozen) until they rise and turn golden‑brown.
