Take a sheet of puff pastry and fill it with pork sausages, chutney and mustard to make these onion and thyme rolls. They are perfect for a picnic.
Preheat the oven to 200°C/180°C fan/gas 6.
Squeeze the meat from the sausages into a bowl and mix it with the chutney, mustard and thyme.
Roll out the puff pastry and roll it out until one side reaches 43 cm.
Place the sausage meat in the centre of the pastry.
Beat the egg and brush the bottom of the pastry with it.
Wrap the pastry around the meat, seal the edges with a fork, then cut into eight pieces.
Brush again with a little egg and sprinkle with poppy seeds.
Transfer to a parchment‑lined tray and bake for 25 minutes or until golden.
