Ingredients

  • large slice of ham1
  • spinach8

    leaves

  • cherry tomatoes8
  • eggs4
  • piece of cheese about the size of a matchbox1
  • bread slices4

    toasted, buttered and cut into strips for dipping

Step-by-step instructions

    Ask an adult to preheat the oven to 180 °C (160 °C for convection or gas setting 4). Prepare four ceramic ramekins and place them in front of you. Slice the ham and spinach into strips with scissors and distribute evenly among the ramekins.

    Tear the cherry tomatoes in a bowl with your fingers, leaving the juice. Place two tomatoes together with their juice into each ramekin.

    Crack one egg into a separate bowl, remove any shell fragments with a spoon, then carefully pour it into the prepared ramekin. Repeat with the remaining eggs.

    Grate the cheese and sprinkle it over each egg. Ask an adult to place the ramekins on a baking tray and bake for 15–18 minutes, until the whites set and the tops are lightly golden.
