This easy-to-make cake can be cut into squares and served as an afternoon treat.
Preheat the oven to 180°C/160°C with convection/gas 4. Grease the baking tin with butter and dust with flour, shaking off the excess. Beat the eggs in a bowl, add the sugar and whisk until the mixture becomes light and fluffy.
Sift the flour, baking powder and a pinch of salt, pour in the cream and mix well. Pour the batter into the tin. Sprinkle with the berries and bake for 25 minutes, until the surface turns a light golden colour and a skewer inserted into the cake comes out clean (a little fruit may remain). Remove from the oven and let cool. Serve dusted with powdered sugar. This recipe was provided by Apetit Online and has not been retested by us.
