Enjoy making these cute Christmas tree decorations together with children. It's an ideal festive activity and a handy way to use up leftover fairy cake boxes.
or ribbon
Open each fairy cake box and cut it into quarters. Decide which pattern combination you want for each tree decoration – you’ll need four quarters for one decoration.
Apply a little glue to the pointed top edge of a quarter (this part will become the bottom of the decoration), with the curved side facing you. Place another quarter on top, oriented the same way, and make sure a bit of the first box is still visible before pressing it onto the glue. Repeat two more times. You should have four quarters glued together, forming a tree shape.
Cut a 15 cm length of thread or ribbon. Poke a hole in the top of the decoration, thread it through and tie the ends together. Repeat the process with the remaining fairy cake boxes.
