Clementine printed gift tags

Leftover clementines or oranges? Use them to create personalized Christmas tags – a beautiful and thoughtful addition to a holiday gift.

Ingredients

  • clementine1

    orange or other citrus fruit

  • brush
  • acrylic paint
  • card
  • hole punch
  • string or ribbon
  • felt-tip pen or permanent marker
  • stencil

Step-by-step instructions

    Cut the clementine in half and let it dry overnight.

  2. 2

    Apply a thin layer of acrylic paint to the cut side of the fruit. Press the painted side onto the card, repeating until the card sheet is filled with imprints — you may need to apply paint again. Let it dry completely.

    Cut rectangles around the clementine imprints from the card. Punch a hole in the top of each rectangle and thread a 15 cm strip of ribbon or string through each hole.

    Write the recipient’s name over the imprint with a felt-tip pen or marker, and optionally use a stencil.
